Laser stretch mark removal

Stretch marks, i.e. vertical stripes on the thighs, abdomen, buttocks and other parts of the body are often the cause of reduced self-acceptance in women. They also appear in men, and age or body weight is of little importance. Cosmetics are not always successful in the fight against stretch marks, therefore it is worth opting for a specialised laser treatment.
Indications for the treatment
Laser stretch mark removal is the right treatment for you if you suffer from characteristic, striated lesions in the structure of your skin. It is important to remember that not only adults (both women and men), but also young people during puberty are at risk.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
One month before the planned treatment discontinue using preparations that contain isotretinoin, retinol and other vitamin A derivatives. Microdermabrasion, deep peels and preparations with vitamin C or acids should also be avoided. Skin areas to be treated should not be tanned. A week before the treatment it is necessary to discontinue preparations containing St. John’s wort and calendula.
Course of treatment
The procedure is done using an innovative Clear Lift nd-YAG Q Switch laser (wavelength 1064/532 nm). It is a non-ablative treatment, which means that it does not contribute to epidermal damage. The laser affects the skin mechanically, rather than thermally. The treatment leaves no visible traces on the body and you won’t feel any pain. The energy from the laser beam is concentrated in the dermis, stimulating collagen production.
Laser stretch mark removal does not require any anaesthesia. The treatment takes an average of 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the skin surface. The patient feels no pain, but may experience slight burning, stinging or pinching. At the end, a regenerating protective preparation is applied to the treated parts of the body.
Is there any downtime after the treatment?
You can resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure, although the skin may be slightly red and swollen. It is recommended to use a protective preparation for the first three days to promote regeneration. Moreover, it is necessary to use SPF50 sunscreen for a month to make sure that the skin is protected against UV rays.
Thanks to the laser stretch mark removal procedure the treated parts of the body become visibly firmer, while the spindle-shaped lines become lighter and less visible. The effects continue to develop for three months after laser treatment. In order to effectively get rid of stretch marks, treatments should be carried out in a series of 3 to 5, with 3-week intervals between them.
