The basis of the procedure is the use of an endoscope – a device equipped with a camera and specialized surgical tools that allow for small, barely visible incisions.

These incisions are usually located in the hairline, which makes the scars after the procedure virtually invisible. The surgeon inserts an endoscope through these incisions, creating a subcutaneous tunnel that allows for precise lifting of the eyebrow and forehead skin. Endoscopic brow lift is a procedure recommended for those who want to achieve a subtle and lasting effect of rejuvenation of the upper face without the need for a long recovery period. Indications for the procedure include various aesthetic problems that affect the overall expression of the face.

One of the most common reasons for deciding to undergo the procedure is a tired or dissatisfied appearance of the face, caused by drooping eyebrows and forehead wrinkles. Drooping eyebrows can give the face a sad, worried or tired look, which is often a source of discomfort. Endoscopic brow lift effectively corrects these defects, lifting the eyebrows and smoothing the forehead, which significantly improves the overall appearance of the face.

What does the procedure

look like?

The endoscopic brow lift procedure consists of several precisely planned stages that ensure both patient safety and the achievement of the desired aesthetic effects. The process begins with proper patient preparation, including making any drawings and markings on the skin that will be helpful during the procedure.

The next step is general anesthesia of the patient, which ensures comfort and no pain during the procedure. After the patient is put under anesthesia, the surgeon begins to inject the areas where the incisions will be made. Vasoconstrictors are used to limit bleeding during the surgery.

The actual surgical procedure begins with making small incisions, each of which is about 1-2 cm long. The first two incisions are made in the temporal area on both sides of the head, down to the deep temporal fascia.

The third incision is in the midline of the head. All incisions are carefully placed in the hairline, making the scars after the procedure almost invisible.

After making the incisions, the surgeon, taking special care with the vessels and nerves, begins to prepare the tissues. An important step is to release the ligaments around the eye socket, which allows for free manipulation of the tissues. This allows for the eyebrows and forehead to be lifted and shaped appropriately.

Once the tissues are properly lifted and stabilized, the surgeon precisely closes the wounds, taking care not to leave visible scars. The duration of the procedure depends on the individual needs of the patient and their anatomical structure, and usually ranges from 90 to 120 minutes from the moment of administration of anesthesia.

How to prepare

for the procedure?

Before the procedure, a consultation with the surgeon is necessary to discuss the patient’s aesthetic goals and health. This is also a time to ask questions and obtain any necessary information. Proper hydration before and after the procedure is extremely important, as it speeds up the recovery process. Since the endoscopic brow lift is performed on an outpatient basis, the patient should arrange for transport home after the procedure. It is also important to inform the doctor of any health problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes or thyroid problems, which will allow for a risk assessment and ensure safety during the procedure.

What are the recommendations

after the procedure?

Due to the low invasiveness of the endoscopic brow lift, the recovery time is relatively short and lasts about 7-10 days. After this period, there is a check-up visit during which the stitches are removed. After the procedure, the patient is given a pressure bandage, which they should wear for the next 24 hours, while for 48 hours it is important to keep their head elevated. During sleep for the next 4 weeks, it is recommended to put an additional pillow under it to maintain an elevated position.

The first bath is possible after 24 hours, but you should avoid using cosmetics that may irritate the operated area and make sure that the water is not too warm. In the event of swelling, it is recommended to use cold compresses, which can help reduce it.

For the first three weeks after the procedure, you should avoid greater physical exertion. Smoking and drinking alcohol are also not recommended, as they can negatively affect the healing process. It is also important to take medications prescribed by your doctor as recommended.
