Kinesio Taping

Medicine has made tremendous progress developing wound healing and pain management methods to help patients recover faster from surgery and other medical procedures. Kinesiology taping (Kinesio Taping) is one of the methods used to support recovery processes. Kinesio Taping is an effective and safe therapy and does not require any use of pharmacological products.

The therapy uses elastic tapes which are applied to targeted sections of the body to produce mechanical stimulus. This stimulation method helps relieve pain, improves wound healing and promotes tissue restitution. Effect mechanisms vary depending on how and at which section of the body the tape is applied. After the application of the tape muscles tend to relax with pain subduing and effusions (bruising) and swelling receding.
